Kendriya Vidyalaya,Laitkor Peak,AFS,Shillong was establised in 1985 in Defence sector. The school is located about 15 kms away from Shillong city, the capital of Meghalaya. The scenic beauty amidst enthralling lush green natural surroundings in which the vidyalaya is located is a feast for one's eyes. The deftly constructed permanent building is sufficient to accommodate over 800 students. It has been the seat of learning for the  educator and the educated alike.
